EMSELLA® Chair

A non-invasive treatment for urinary incontinence in men and women.

Tired of the constant urge to go?

STRONG PELVIC FLOOR MUSCLES PROVIDE CONTROL OF THE BLADDER AND BOWEL. IF THESE MUSCLES ARE WEAK, THEY MAY NOT FULLY SUPPORT INTERNAL ORGANS, MAKING IT HARDER TO CONTROL THE RELEASE OF URINE.

What is EMSELLA Chair for incontinence?

The EMSELLA Chair is an FDA approved, non-invasive treatment for urinary incontinence. It also offers a solution to restore confidence and improve intimate health. This technology redefines wellness by helping both men and women reduce urinary leakage and regain control and comfort.

How Does the EMSELLA Chair Work?

The EMSELLA Chair uses high intensity focused electromagnetic (HIFEM) technology to stimulate the pelvic floor muscles. As the patient, you will sit in the chair, fully clothed, while the device performs 11,200 Kegel contractions within 30 minutes. These contractions retrain and strengthen weakened pelvic floor muscles, restoring neuromuscular control to improve urinary incontinence and enhance sexual function.

Am I a Candidate for the EMSELLA Chair?

EMSELLA is a great option for both women and men of all ages looking to enhance their quality of life. However, it is not suitable for individuals with electronic or metal implants, such as a pacemaker, or those who have recently undergone surgery in the treatment area. It’s important to consult with an experienced provider to create a personalized treatment plan for you.

The best way to determine if EMSELLA is right for you is to schedule a consultation with one of our specialists at REDEEM. During your consultation, we will review your medical history and talk with you to understand your concerns. Then we’ll work with you to determine if this is the best treatment to address your needs.

Results

To date, several clinical studies have been published on EMSELLA in various peer-reviewed journals that show:

  • 64% Improvement in Urinary Incontinence on average*
  • 57% Hygiene Pad reduction on average
  • HIFEM is 7x more effective than Kegel exercises

EMSELLA FAQs

Incontinence is involuntary urination in some form. Stress incontinence is leakage that happens when pressure is placed on the bladder during activities like coughing, sneezing, laughing, or exercising, often due to weakened pelvic floor muscles. Urge incontinence involves a sudden, intense urge to urinate, followed by involuntary bladder contractions, commonly linked to overactive bladder, causing frequent urges even if the bladder isn’t full. Overflow incontinence occurs when the bladder doesn’t fully empty, leading to frequent dribbling. This often results from a weak bladder muscle or a blockage preventing complete emptying. Visit Michigan Institute of Urology to learn more about the causes and symptoms of incontinence.

EMSELLA is a non-invasive treatment, with each session lasting approximately 30 minutes. A standard treatment plan includes six sessions, scheduled twice per week.

You will experience tingling and pelvic floor muscle contractions during the procedure. You may resume daily activities immediately after the treatment.
When used regularly, you will see improvement. Some individuals notice improvement after a single session. Results will typically continue to improve over the next few weeks.
